PSYC 4840 Counseling and Clinical Theories
Alice has been depressed since she and Fred broke up. No matter what she tries she can't seem to shake the sadness. She has lost interest in going out with her friends, she is losing weight because she is not hungry. All she wants to do is sit around on the couch in the dark. It's been days since she took a shower. She is starting to think that perhaps her parents,... friends,... cat,... everybody would be better off if she were no longer around. She is terrified at the thought so she comes to you, a counselor, for help. So what do you do? How can you best help Alice deal with her life and depression?
